Calm Caye Villa sits on the beach of a former coconut plantation on the island of Ambergris Caye, a 12 minute plane ride off the coast of Belize. One of five privately owned homes that share a beach & pool, it's a 4 mile boat or bike ride north of San Pedro town.

The Villa:
Calm Caye Villa's first floor features two bedroom suites with private entrances and colorfully tiled luxurious full baths. A spacious 3rd bedroom, half bath and private shower was added in 2002 and the Great Room was completely redecorated in 2003. All new kitchen appliances, dining furniture, paint, fabrics, and entertainment electronics. This comfortable space has coral stone floors, a dramatic vaulted ceiling of Belizean hardwood, and a spacious terrace with an unbroken view of your private beach, the ocean and the barrier reef beyond. The villa includes air conditioning, color TV with satellite service & VCR, and a stereo system with CD player.

Attractions:
The western hemisphere's longest barrier reef lies just off shore and offers world class diving & snorkeling, as well as fly, spincast & deep sea fishing. Local dive shops will arrange to pick you up from the end of your pier, providing easy access to reef diving and spectacular outer island sites like the famous Blue Hole. Kayaking & windsurfing are available and excursions to Mayan ruins, nature trips, birding, & cave tubing can be arranged by our local management. A quick water taxi ride will bring you into town where you can find a variety of local restaurants, log on at the Cybercafe or rent bikes for a scenic ride along the beach. Cook at home or walk 100 yards to Sundiver Resort for lunch, dinner or a beach bar drink. Mata Chica's Mambo restaurant is a five minute walk up the beach.

Kids:
Calm Caye Villa & Ambergris Caye is a great place for kids. The reef affords protected waters for young kids' shelling & endless exploration. Swimming, snorkeling, kayaking, biking and nature walks are great for older kids.

Other services:
Laundry services, masseuse, and a private cook can be arranged. Cellular phones and bikes are available for rent. The house has a microwave phone that is part of the Belize telephone system for local calls and a high speed wireless satellite Internet system.

Rates:
Entire Villa which can sleep up to 6 people $370.00USD/night. Maid service and transportation to/from the airport in San Pedro is included. Rate quoted in US Dollars & subject to a 9% hotel tax. All major credit cards accepted.

Transportation:
American Airlines & Continental Airlines provide regular service to Belize City from many major US cities. Tropic Air & Maya Island Air provide hourly service from Belize City International Airport to San Pedro Town on Ambergris Caye.
